What is the best place to get Apple Macintosh laptop computer service and repair in the Delhi area?

Wednesday, March 24th, 2010

I will be traveling to India with my Macbook for an extended stay and I’d like advice from people who have actually had their computers serviced in India. As far as I can tell, there is no “official” Apple service center in India, only “authorized service providers.” Several are listed on the Apple India “resource locator” but I’d like firsthand reports from people who have actually used them. In general, how easy and reliable is it to get Macs serviced in India?

Data Recovery After Logical Crash

Friday, March 5th, 2010
imageData Recovery is exactly what it sounds like – a way to recover important information that was lost from a computer crash, hard disk malfunction, or virus attack. No matter the scale, big corporation database recovery or single user retrieval of files from spontaneous deleting. Data Recovery software can be developed, installed and removed from existing systems to retrieve lost data or partial data and minimize damaged caused to the system. In the field of information technology, data loss refers to the unexpected and unwanted loss of data or information and there are several possible root causes. These following most common errors and technical glitches may cause to corrupt your computer and data loss occurs: * File system corruption * The accidental deletion of data * Overwriting of data control structures. * Virus attack * Format disk inadvertently In some cases file system corruption (FAT, NTFS, Ext2, Ext3…..) may result data loss, especially if the disk is not maintained properly and the file system scanned on a regular basis. Data gets lost completely only if overwritten with other files. XP and other modern Operating systems from Microsoft, all use NTFS (New Technology File System). NTFS is an advanced disk formatting that has many useful features including ways to recover lost data. Software malfunction (virus attack) may lead to data loss. Virus makes your system file corrupt and unbootable, so it is good to have antivirus installed in your computer. Backups are the key resources to retrieve your lost data and bail you out from unwanted consequences. Having good back ups is one of the most efficient way to avoid data losses. Then even if you have a logical crash like operating system failure, virus attack, software malfunction etc. then your data will be safe and you can just transfer it to a new computer or drive while yours is being fixed. It is better to have a back up running that automatically backs up your work at a predetermined interval without you having to remember to do it. Stellar Phoenix NTFS Recovery software is a user-friendly tool that utilizes NTFS features allowing you to recover files from damaged NTFS volumes or even recover whole volumes in case of them being lost or unintentionally formatted. The Evolution of USB Turntables

Wednesday, March 3rd, 2010
imageTurntables have evolved from the old classic type to the most modern USB turntable versions. These offer amazing features including the capability to allow classic media materials to output digital audio quality.

With the development of the latest digital players such as MP3 players, CD players and cassettes, vinyl records have been dethroned and started to die. This is not the case with DJs and some collectors of these old fashion records even though LPs have been obsolete to some extent. They still love to play these records and want to archive it into modern players. As a consequence, converting these rare pieces of records into good sounding digital audio files became a problem.

This difficulty is solved with the availability of USB turntables. USB turntables offer a combination of a computer audio and phono to line preamplifier with buddle software for recording. With the revolutionary technology, it is now possible to convert these formats to the most latest digital audio formats and store it for future archiving.

The exterior is made up of high grade plastic, which makes it more impressive. The Stanton T.90 model has more features compared to its predecessors. It comes with a selector switch that allows you to choose from 33 and 45 to 78 RPMs. It also has a dual start/stop brake, reverse button, pitch control, and key lock mode. At the back of the turntable is the USB port used for connecting it to a computer. It also has the following features:

•S/PDIF digital coaxial output;

Pyro 5 is just right for archiving music collections from LPs, CDs, DVDs, and cassettes. It is also capable of recording the entire content of an LP and later on can be exported as different audio formats like WAV, MP3, and WMA file.

When tested in a Windows XP system, it successfully installed its USB audio drivers without any problem. The sound quality is excellent with its built in audio card. It can record 16 bit at 44.1 kHz and can even be increased up to 48 kHz. Since this device is capable of recording and playing back audio, you can virtually play the digitized recorded vinyl through its RCA output. It is also capable of mixing a computer’s audio and the turntable’s audio – combining analog and digital in the process.

With all the features that this turntable offers, it is highly recommended for professional hobbyists or disc jockeys.
